What You’ll Do

Software Technical Consulting Engineer (TCE) is primarily a Software Engineer/Developer (or in certain cases a Computational Scientist). TCEs provides technical consulting & support for one or many software developer product(s) and/or product family to aid internal and external customers to get most out of Intel platforms. TCEs enable customers and software developers through technical support, training, and hands-on assistance in areas of code development, debugging, tuning and scaling of SW applications. TCEs contribute to new product development, representing the customers technical requirements, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, developing and presenting technical product training materials. TCEs also work with the sales team to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and presentations. If needed TCEs design, develop, debug & test complex customers’ software to develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. For Competitive Performance analysis TCEs may engage in activities such as development of workload harness, adding testing suites to workload harness, performance monitoring, performance projections, code analysis and optimizations.

What You'll Bring

Technical knowledge, people skills, and outstanding problem solving add up to success for an Intel technical consulting engineer. These individuals think quickly in pressure situations and enjoy meeting customers face-to-face.

A successful candidate will have a bachelors or masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and some knowledge in industry segments such as oil, science, manufacturing, finance, multimedia, or enterprise. Good presentation skills in front of both small and large audiences in virtual or in-person environments are a plus. Experience or training with parallel programming methodologies in OpenMP*, MPI, Intel® Threading Building Blocks; working knowledge of Linux* and Microsoft* Visual Studio C++ development environments; and developing, maintaining and supporting C++ and Fortran applications is beneficial.
