Quality and Reliability Engineers at Intel develop, apply, and maintain quality and reliability standards for processing materials into our partially finished or finished products.
As a Quality and Reliability Engineer, you are able to help Intel achieve company, customer, and various governmental agency reliability objectives. You ensure product and equipment requirements are met through the specification of inspection and testing mechanisms, standardized product qualification and methods, and vigorous quality assessments.
In your role, you are also responsible for developing new techniques and tools for the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality and reliability. This includes making recommendations for changes to improve system, process, or product reliability.
As part of Quality and Reliability, you must have expert knowledge about materials—their characteristics, behaviors, and properties. You should be familiar with accelerated environmental and reliability testing and standards. To succeed in this role, you should be capable of performing empirical data collection, statistical analysis, reliability statistics, as well as designing experiments.
The best candidates will have, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Electronics.
