In 1976 Intel established its first office in Munich, Feldkrichen, which became the headquarters of Intel Deutschland GmBH. Today the city is home to around 3,500 employees working around Munich.

Our largest campus is situated in Neubiberg Germany, and houses our core business - developing modem technologies and solutions to enable next-generation wireless connectivity. It is also the hub of some of Intel’s transformative businesses – such as autonomous driving. As Germany is home to some of the largest car manufacturers in the world, it makes it the perfect place for employees to work on research and development, and engineering in the automotive space. In 2016, Intel acquired start-up Ascending Technologies, adding drones to our portfolio.
