Linux Software Automation Engineer

Job Description

Tools DevOps Release Engineering Container team leads the integration, verification, and releases of one API Software in Containers. The team is looking for an Experienced DevOps/Automation Engineer to contribute with the integration and automation one API Containers. Ability to integrate and customize complex and diverse pieces of software to work seamlessly, able to debug and find root causes of integrating and customizing software pieces, contribute to the verification and automation of containerized software solutions. High performers on this team drive for results and make data-driven decisions. They have a passion for learning new tricks of the trade and trying new ideas.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences and or school work/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field ("Cedula Profesional" may be required) with 3+ years of experience integrating software solutions; or 5 years of experience without a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience with Linux Systems administration and monitoring;
  • 2+ years building and using Containers; working experience with continuous integration and automation workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages, Python/Bash preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience debugging with Linux Systems, Kernel modules and diverse Hardware capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Containerization.
  • Experience working with K8s (Kubernetes); OpenShift.
  • End-to-end understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to integrate and customize complex and diverse pieces of software to work seamlessly.
  • Understanding of Cloud Service Providers, Cloud Infrastructure.
