Strategic Software Planner

Job Description

As part of Intel's Data Center and AI (Artificial Intelligence) division, the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Strategic Product Planning Group plays a key role in partnering and influencing strategic deliverables throughout the organization.

The Strategic Software Planner role requires a combination of business acumen, organization understanding, networking capabilities, and expertise in certain technical areas. The Strategic Software Planner runs certain strategic process, visits customers, and influences the organization via these processes. Activities include running component, ingredient, platform or initiative planning processes, competitive analysis, market analysis, and participating in multiple strategic task forces.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate structured Product Requirements based upon feedback from customers, internal teams, and PSG business partners.
  • Network and coordinate with Business Stakeholders to continuously drive customer requirements into the product definitions, FPGA EDA Design Flow, or IPs (Intellectual Properties) roadmap.
  • Own functional areas of EDA Design Flow and solutions feature roadmap or IPs, including prioritization, customer validation, and communication of the roadmap both within Intel and key customers

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience with FPGA design (including Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog coding, FPGA design tools, design optimization, timing closure, debugging, verification and/or validation).
  • 2+ years of experience interacting with customers.
  • Advanced English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of total industry experience.
  • 2+ years of product planning or product management experience.
  • Knowledge in FPGA architecture.
  • Experience in architecting FPGA based solutions for an end market application.
  • Experience driving successful innovation products and influencing product strategy.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
