This high visibility position has a significant cross-Intel impact, and needs to be recognized as an authority and a trustworthy advisor in their domain of expertise and responsibility by senior technologists across multiple organizations, top group management level and respected by peers. The position will also require management of a team of strategic planners, but has a strong player captain role i.e. significant individual contribution scope as well.
- Grow, lead and coach a high performing team of technology strategists/planners
- Develop the strategy and detailed plans for high potential technologies working in close collaboration with senior technologists
- Own the technology planning through the phases of technology pathfinding through tech readiness through POR and on a solid path to execution
- Develop the comprehensive SW plans for technologies, spanning BIOS, operating systems, VMMs, other system software, developer tools, applications and ecosystem enabling.
- Proactively identify ambiguities/opens and drive one-voice software strategy, and recommendations by working closely with senior technologists and stakeholders across multiple orgs.
- Represent software in Planning meetings.
- Work with, and establish trust across a diverse array of stakeholders across software, Business Units and HW teams
The position requires a solid combination of technical expertise and business acumen, ability to work effectively across functional and organizational boundaries and the ability to communicate effectively across customer, executive, and technical audiences.

The Director of Technologies Strategy and Planning needs to be, and be perceived across multiple organizations as an action and results oriented leader.
� Masters in CS/EE or a technical discipline with 20+ years experience or Bachelors with 15+ years experience
� 5-7 years experience in either strategic planning, or in a role with proven track record of driving technology strategy
� Highly Technically savvy and able to understand a broad spectrum of software, HW, operating systems, hardware technologies, architecture details, and be comfortable driving discussions with senior technologists
� Prior experience creating or close dealing with Intel product roadmaps
� Effective program management skills to collaborate with and lead very large groups of stakeholders across a diverse range of projects
� Proven ability to drive project scoping with engineering management, senior technologists
� Prior experience in building and leading a high performing architecture/strategy/planning team
� Deep familiarity with at least one or more of the following: datacenter/cloud platforms, client platforms, network platforms
� Experience presenting to GM/VP/SVP level audiences
� Prior experience driving X-Intel/X-Group strategic initiatives successfully
� Prior experience with driving a technology/technical-strategy and plan agenda to fruition, experience with disciplined technology readiness
� Familiarity with one or more of the following: datacenter/cloud software, system software, network software
� MBA is a plus
