Data Analytics Engineer

Job Description

The Xeon Engineering Group is looking for a Data Analytics Engineering Lead to join our team. In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Debug of post-silicon functional failures of next generation Xeon Server Platforms
  • Work closely with the pre-silicon IP/SoC and post-silicon validation teams to characterize, debug and root-cause system-level failures
  • Collaborate with Intel manufacturing team to root cause functional bugs due to silicon configuration or per-part variation
  • Support team-mates in debug of failures that are observed 'at scale' in large installation at Intel or customer sites
  • Support the debug effort of silicon sightings that require advanced data analysis
  • Application of statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, pattern recognition and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from very large scale structured and unstructured data and summarize the results by data visualization tools to support system level debug and validation of silicon products.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Information Engineering, or Mathematics/Statistics and 5+ years of relevant experience with/in:

  • Modern data science techniques (applied statistics, operation research, data mining, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence) or demonstrated experience in these fields
  • Engaging with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure that data models will support delivery of solutions
  • Data connectivity and enterprise database servers and solvers

2+ years of experience in:

  • Python scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in:

  • Scripting languages: perl, ruby
  • Providing direction to solution analysts, data modelers and developers in terms of data design
  • The semiconductor industry
