CAD Automation Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities of the role include, although not limited to:

  • Develops and applies computer aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems
  • Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software
  • Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters
  • Develops routines and utility programs
  • Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval
  • May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will also have:

  • Good communication skills with design, validation and other technical teams
  • Willingness to work under tight time constraints and prioritize accordingly


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with experience in the following:

  • RTL design processes and tools, including simulation, static and formal tools, like Synopsys VCS, Design Compiler, SpyGlass, VC, Cadence Conformal
  • Scripting e.g. Python, Perl, TCL
  • Revision control systems, e.g. Git
  • Unix environment, including Makefiles
  • Program management methods and tools, e.g. Jira

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in:

  • (System)Verilog, OVM/UVM

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$76,380.00-$114,340.00
