Job Description

The Path Forward Return to Work program at Intel is a 16-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. Location: This 16-week program is 100% virtual. Upon successful completion of the returnship, there is a possibility of an offer for full-time employment. Offers for full-time roles are contingent upon candidates’ advance commitment to reside or relocate to a geographical area that is within commuting distance to our Oregon or Arizona locations. 

About the Role:

This position is for a Semiconductor Test Engineer in the Manufacturing and Product Engineering, MPE, within the Design Engineering Group, DEG. In this role, you will be expected to be a part of and participate in global PDE teams in developing Sort test programs to enable process development and Intel's product roadmap for products on lead process technologies. This role is a combination of hardware and software responsibilities that has visibility and interaction with multiple areas within Intel.


What You Get to Do:

- Ensure the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.

- Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits.

- Evaluate, develop and debug of complex test methods. 

- Develop and debug complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.

- Create and test validation and production test hardware solutions. 

- Test, validate, modify and redesign circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.

- Analyze and evaluate component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability. 

- Analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.

- Create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or a related field).

3+ years' experience in:

  • Microsoft Office (Visual Basic or Excel Macro), MS SQL, or Data Analytics.

  • Programming skills in one of the following C/C++/C#, Python/Julia, Parser creation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital logic, computer architecture.
