Intel Labs is seeking a motivated engineer in the area of intelligent systems. This is a full-time position with the Autonomous Agents Lab.

In this position, you will be responsible for conceiving, researching, prototyping, and developing new techniques in the context of autonomous systems. You will use your strong knowledge of software engineering, and mathematics to identify and develop new methods in one (or several) of the following areas: reinforcement learning, policy learning, computer vision, machine learning, simulation, sim2real, autonomous driving, and robotics. This requires strong software engineering skills and a comprehensive understanding of the state of the art.

The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • You are expected to contribute to large research-oriented projects and participate in the open-source community.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar technical discipline

  • 5+ years of industry experience working in one of the following areas:

    • machine learning

    • motor control

    • robotics

    • optimization

    • computer vision

    • image processing

    • computer graphics

    • three-dimensional modeling

  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar technical discipline (+2 years of industry experience)

  • Publications in first-tier highly selective international conferences such as CVPR ICCV ECCV ICML NeurIPS ICLR or SIGGRAPH
