Scalable Video Technology SVT is Intel's video compression architecture successfully released into multiple CODEC standard implementations, which provides market leading optimizations on Intel processors designed to scale from edge to cloud. The Data Platforms Group DPG drives new products technologies, from high end coprocessors for supercomputers to low energy systems for enterprise, and the cloud as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine out of every 10 servers sold worldwide. This position is at the Intel facility in Vancouver Canada.
Your tasks would include but not be limited to the following:
Conduct evaluation tests of existing encoder features
Perform comparative analysis of the encoder against other encoders
Assist in performing experiments on encoder features being developed
Analyze and debug performance issues in the encoder
Produce comprehensive test case reports
Develop run and collect results of automated test cases

Qualifications
Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work classes research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in some of the following areas:
C programming language
Python multipurpose programming language
One or more version control tools svn git
Command line applications in both Windows and Linux
Batch and Bash commands
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in some of the following areas:
ffmpeg and any video rendering software solutions
