SOC/IP Validation Engineer

Job Description

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

• Own and drive the Pre-Si validation in various functional areas of a microprocessor-based IP
• Define Pre-Si validation plans, leveraging various validation platforms including but not limited to Simulation and FPGA
• Develop test bench infrastructure (monitors, scoreboards/checkers, BFMs, etc) and validation content (test cases, sequences, etc) to close on validation assignments
• Coordinate with other team members to align on deliverable expectations and dependencies
• Collaborate with design and architecture teams to ensure alignment on feature scoping, staging, and validation coverage

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of industry experience - OR - a Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of industry experience with:

• RTL Design validation experience including developing unit or system level test benches and test plan creation
• Developing test bench components such as monitors, scoreboard/checkers, and bus functional models (BFMs)
• Problem solving and debugging skills
• Proficient in HDL such as Verilog/OVM (and/or UVM)/System Verilog

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Embedded Software/Firmware (C/C++)
• Experience with CPU flows such as Reset, Power Management, Boot flows, Fusing, and Platform Hub Controller (PCH)
• Familiarity with hardware design flows (EDA): CDC, Lint, Synthesis, Logic Equivalence Checking, Timing
• Developing with FPGA and Emulation-based validation platforms

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$111,000.00-$166,390.00
