Development Tools Software Engineer - SK

Job Description

This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK hynix. You can read more about the transaction in the press release - The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses industry-leading SSD technology and the most capable Triple Level Cell (TLC) and Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a software engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix. This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK hynix.

A software development engineer plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud based or internet related tools. Analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components to ensure the system improvements are successfully implemented. Drives unit test automation. Be well versed in the latest development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and test-driven development. Should also enable solutions that take into account APIs, security, scalability, manageability, usability, and other critical factors that contribute to complete solutions. Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computational Science.

This job will include (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:

  • Develops software as the primary job function.
  • Full-stack development, deployment, and testing in at least one modern web platform
  • Designs, develops, debugs and tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web.
  • Troubleshoot issues throughout the design process as well as during and after implementation
  • Participation in developing additional features for released web-based tools based on existing roadmaps and timelines
  • Work closely with stakeholders on a regular basis to support the implementation of stakeholder requirements and customization during the development, testing, deployment, training, and maintenance phases

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
  • The candidate must have a background in Software Engineering or Computer Science and Software development skills (including proficiency in SQL, JavaScript/Typescript, C#, Angular, HTML/CSS, Git, Agile, Windows/Linux)
