Linux Application Development Engineer

Intel® Quick Assist Technology (Intel® QAT) is leading acceleration technology in the industry to address bottlenecks in information security and data compression related computing. It is widely used in various network infrastructures, cloud platforms and big data platforms. Intel® QAT has been successfully integrated into various popular open-source solutions including Nginx, OpenSSL, Hadoop, zlib etc. We are continuously developing QAT based new features in these areas and enabling QAT to more ecosystems in Network, Cloud, Big data, Enterprise to integrate QAT products to create more value for more customers.

We are setting up a software engineering team in Chengdu to work on QAT Multiple-Segment-Enabling area. We are looking for Linux Application Development Engineers in Chengdu who can contribute to the development of QAT based applications in the areas like Network infrastructure, Cloud, Big data and Enterprise. In this position you will work with top engineers from China, USA, Europe, India and other countries and regions to design and develop new features of QAT based applications, enable QAT solution to new frameworks and eco-systems.

Qualifications

Basic requirements:

• Bachelor or above degree
• Solid C/C++ language programming skills
• Good knowledge of Linux OS
• 3+ years’ work experience in Linux application development
• Solid knowledge of SSL, TLS and network security protocols
• Solid knowledge of filesystem and database
• Have work experience on security or data compression related applications/frameworks/Libraries: OpenSSL/Nginx/zlib/ZSTD…  
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work and deliver under tight schedules

Added Advantage:

• Familiar with Crypto algorithms (RSA, AES, DES, ect.) or data compression algorithms
• Experience in software performance optimization
• Experience of open-source community development
• Hands-on experience on OpenSSL, Nginx and network security frameworks 
• Hands-on experience on compression library, like zlib or ZSTD
