System Integration Validation Engineer

Job Description
Datacenter Platform Engineering and Architecture Group (DPEA) is looking for talents for Senior Platform Validation lead engineer to secure the SW quality by continuous integration. In this position, you will be responsible for driving the validation of software and hardware on Intel server products to secure the quality of SW release. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Developing and maintaining Intel platform validation process and methodologies Developing and maintaining platform validation test plan and BKMs Defining evaluation scope and coverage to meet the quality goal of Intel server product. Managing ODC or CW on the validation schedule and driving flawless execution in high quality standard. Drive sightings for closure by proactive physical work and/or coordination with relevant stakeholders on defect duplication and investigation. Leading complex issue debugging and support critical quality excursion. Architecture and development of Server Firmware and Software automation test scripts and utilities Must be self-motivated and be able to make decisions with little or no direction and be able to deal with ambiguity. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to effectively communicate status of debug tasks in various forums. Must work well with others and be able to communicate requests and gather information from validation, design, BIOS, Firmware, Chipset, processor, and third parties, as needed, to get to issue resolution.

You should possess a Master of Science degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology with 11+ years of applicable industrial experience. Additional qualifications include: Technical Skills Solid understanding of software testing, process and methodologies; Demonstrated experience and skill in platform validation and test case development; FW/SW development or validation experience; understanding of software stack from BIOS/FW through OS driver Strong at analytical problem solving, code debugging and module based problem solving skills. Must have good knowledge of Chipset/processor interfaces (PCI Express, UPI, Memory, etc.) and Server technologies (Security, Manageability, Virtualization, Power Management, Reset/Boot, Storage, Networking, RAS, etc.) and be able to interpret specifications to assist with debug and test development. Should have a good understanding of system power/reset/boot flows, and firmware (BIOS, BMC and CPLD, etc.) interactions during the process Previous experience in server performance (CPU, Memory, IO, etc.) characterization, debug and tuning is a bonus Candidates must be comfortable in a lab environment and able to continuously learn new things as technology advances. Must have a previous role in debugging issues and setting priorities- understand debug flow and be able to manage multiple issues at once. Demonstrated effectiveness in multitasking over simultaneous problem areas and/or assignments Soft Skills Highly effective interactions with teams and individuals Good team player, be able to work well with peers and seniors from various disciplines, employs good team practices Good customer orientation and ability to interface with customers and/or stakeholders from remote sites Demonstrated capability to work within a team environment facing fast-changing requirements and complicated stakeholders. Good English verbal and writing skills.
