In our roles you will work across many different projects to develop innovative products for next generation PC features and capabilities. You will be deeply involved in the architecture, design, development, integration or validation of the projects and will have the opportunity to work closely with other Intel groups to productize ingenious solutions that can be leveraged across a broader set of devices including IOT, servers, cloud and automotive.
At Client Platforms and Systems division in CCG, we build compelling technologies, platforms, devices and user-experiences that influence the trajectories of personal, professional and corporate computers industry. We are looking for senior hardware engineer with deep understanding of todays's complex consumer products hardware and ecosystem to innovate new design and manufacturing techniques to be part of the team that builds inspiring reference devices. As senior platform/hardware expert in the team, you will
- Work closely with architects, cross-domain engineers, customers and field engineers across the org to identify the challenges and opportunities for problem-solving and improvements in form-factor hardware design
- Device technical solutions to these needs through innovation or application of practical mass producible new techniques and methodologies
- Drive the readiness, internally as well as externally with manufacturers and vendors, for application of these new techniques and methodologies to reference systems and to scale to customer designs. Readiness may involve thorough analysis of technical and non-technical factors, experimentation and validating through proof-of-concepts, documentation
- Work closely with cross-domain architects and engineers -Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Audio, RF, BIOS, Firmware, Software, Regulatory- to architect, design and validate client form-factor reference devices that may utilize such new techniques and methodologies
- Drive board design, system design programs from requirements to design to manufacturing and validation

Minimum Skills:
o Bachelors or Masters degree in the field of Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
o 10+ years of experience with designing, prototyping, and productizing complex electronic hardware designs and/or technologies - preferably in consumer devices
o In depth understanding on state of the art, including manufacturing, in one or more ingredients/sub-systems/interfaces of consumer device hardware will be big plus -PCB, SoC Packaging, FPCs and Cables, Displays, Cameras, Sensors, Audio, System power-and-performance optimization, HSIOs, EMI, etc-
o Working knowledge of hardware design tools like board layout tools and processes
o Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven record of influencing and leading the development in wider group of teams
o Ability to learn fast, work and adapt to changing business environments
o 5+ years of experience with the following:
o Experience working in system design and development, bring up, debug and validation
o Experience working in complex technical analysis within system integration and validation
o Experience working on high speed interfaces, board design
o Experience on designing power delivery solutions e.g. dc-dc converters, feedback control loops, simulation tools, voltage drop analysis, power integrity
o Technical leadership, decision-making skills with ability to influence large technical team
o Designs innovative solutions to complex problems
o Technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined projects, applies the knowledge to deliverables, and leverages it to accelerate project completion
o Should be able to co-ordinate with various cross-functional teams like silicon validation teams, firmware development teams, manufacturing teams across geos.
o Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
o Should be able to mentor juniors and temporary workers in the team.
o Experience working in consumer electronic devices is additional advantage
o Experience working on Display and Camera enabling, integration
o Exposure and understanding of audio HW and SW subsystem
o Deep knowledge of EMI/EMC fundamentals and Antenna design is added advantage
Preferred qualifications:
o 2+ years of experience with any of the following:
o Knowledge of WWAN, GNSS and WiFi is a plus
o Knowledge of Computer architecture, ideally x86 platforms but not mandatory
o Knowledge of Embedded systems and microcontrollers
o Windows operating system and BIOS fundamentals is an added advantage
o Exposure to EMI/EMC validation and electrical pre-cert compliance.
