In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with key external partners and customers, both from an operating system as well as a hardware perspective, to influence future products. You will develop new innovative features to increase battery life and performance on the latest generation of PC platforms, collaborating closely with internal CPU and platform architects and design engineers to implement unique Intel specific features. You will have the opportunity to develop your in-depth technical understanding of PC hardware and software to further optimize PnP. This role works with our architects to define PnP workloads, metrics, measurement methodology and platform projections and works across organizational boundaries to articulate solutions to senior management and to external parties

Candidates with excellent hands-on skills in kernel feature development, firmware, multimedia, graphics, imaging/camera or artificial intelligence background interested in exploring working at system level are ideal.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
o Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical STEM degree
o 6+ years of industry experience
o 5+ years of experience with the following:
o C/C++ programming
o Power and Performance (PnP)
o OS experience either on Windows, Linux and/or Chrome
o Hands-on skills in one of the following domains: kernel feature development, firmware development, validation, integration, debugging, or PnP optimization.
o Knowledge of computer architecture
o Agile teams
o Computer architecture
o Power management and/or performance frameworks, including debug analysis
o Master's Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical STEM degree
o In addition to the minimum requirements, three or more years of experience with any of the following:
o Technical leadership experience and decision-making skills with ability to influence a large technical team
o Experience designing innovative solutions to complex problems
o Experience with technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with defined projects, applies that knowledge to deliverables, and leverages it to accelerate project completion
o Working with teams across different Geos
