Networking Architect

Job Description
We are seeking a world-class technical expert in the Network architecture with a strong emphasis on Ethernet standards and flows. Ideal candidate will have a very strong architecture, design and implementation of Ethernet subsystem hardware with in-depth familiarity of the latest ethernet standards and protocols. Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. Your Primary Responsibilities as Ethernet Architect include but not limited to: Provide technical leadership and go-to expertise in key architecture of Ethernet Hard IP / Subsystem encompassing the MAC, PHY and all aspects of the subsystem Own and deliver Architecture specification for Ethernet and Networking IPs with good understanding of software/hardware interactions and flows. Contribute in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, architecture, design, through implementation and test Proactively identify product features for improvement and innovation Innovate and adjust on Ethernet / networking subsystem features based on customer inputs and market trends Engage in discussions and collaborate cross-functionally with Hardware development team, IP , solutions and validation teams.


Qualifications

15+ years of experience, with a MS degree, in architecting/designing complex Ethernet based IPs and subsystem Strong experience in Ethernet standards and protocol Extremely strong in system design and architecture of networking products involving ethernet interfaces Good understanding of the full SOC implementation methodology including RTL design, Verification and physical implementation including timing. Experience with power, area and performance tradeoffs Experience working with ASIC teams and knowledge of concept to production silicon is highly desirable Strong passion and experience in troubleshooting, debugging complex systems and possess excellent problem-solving techniques
