Account Executive, Mountain West Region

Job Description

This is a commissioned sales position.

Responsible for influencing and advocating Intel based products and solutions for all of Intel's Business units through a vertically oriented, solutions led approach to Business and IT by working with named accounts in specific industry segments or territories where deep engagements require a multi year strategy with the customer around transformation and territory engagements take the more traditional approach. Impact should result in executive level trusted advisor status which should drive our relevance, preference and pull for our strategic focus areas.

This role will be performed virtually, but the selected candidate is preferred to be located in the Mountain West Region (CO, UT, AZ).

Responsibilities in the role include:
1. Identifying and developing sales pipeline opportunities.
2. Closing sales that lead to achieving end user consumption targets.
3. Building the customer and partner relationships needed for long term success in large enterprise and state and local government accounts.

The successful candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

  • Extensive understanding of how IT solutions are sold to Enterprise and Government audiences and the Enterprise Datacenter ecosystem - hardware, software, and services.
  • Strong Business and Technical Acumen the ability to listen and distill complex business problems that originate from our customers, partners, and Intel business units into aligned business drivers of the technologies that we sell
  • Strong technical skills and foundational mastery of entire Intel Datacenter product portfolio
  • Business acumen in Tier 1 Public Cloud solution offerings
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to envision new approaches to addressing business objectives
  • Excellent customer-facing skills in articulation - applies and develops highly advanced technologies, principles, and concepts.
  • Experience working with executive audiences at Intel, customers, and partners.
  • Passion to build a new business and a proven track record as a Team player.
  • Flexibility and can-do spirit
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and results orientation


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Enterprise IT solution sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical knowledge
  • 10+ years of Enterprise IT solution sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud, Storage and/or Memory products.
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise software with one or more of the following software company examples - VMware, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.
