Design Automation Engineer

Job Description

About the team:

Join a diverse and dynamic software team in providing tools, API's, and methodologies to help hardware design teams co-optimize their designs for leading edge process nodes. On this team you will develop automation for EDA tools to quickly measure the performance, power, and area for feedback into technology development, ranging from SPICE simulations of foundational analog and memory IPs to block level Place and Route flows. You will also develop web services to capture this data and dynamic web UIs for engineers to analyze the results. And, you will be working closely with hardware engineers in debugging and analyzing their EDA flows. It is an exciting time and with your skill and expertise we can help create the next generation technology which will shape our future.

About the role:

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Automating EDA flows with a combination of tool-native language e.g. TCL, Python, and JavaScript
  • Making EDA flows easily permutable to interface with Machine Learning tools
  • Efficiently executing highly permutable design flows, making optimal use of storage and compute resources
  • Automate managing and packaging hundreds of TBs of technology collaterals
  • Developing web services to create, monitor, and manage EDA flow experiments and their associated results
