As a Security Firmware Validation Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK Hynix.
This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK Hynix.
In this role your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Define, develop, and implement firmware validation test strategy and execution plans.
Integrate tests into an automated test environment and collaborate with test execution teams to drive your validation plans.
Design and implement firmware feature additions and bug fixes.
Triage failures and recommend or implement solutions in the product or test code.
Review, track, and document test results and issues.
Ensure necessary coverage based on product requirements, internal specifications, and customer use cases to validate the firmware holistically.
Engage with the platform validation teams to ensure SSD products have a robust overall validation plan and firmware validation and integration schedules are aligned properly.
Developing technical expertise in the new technology areas to ensure you can have significant impact on developing validation coverage plans for new complex capabilities.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered as plus factors in identifying top candidates
Education Candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science degree with 5+ years additional experience or a Master of Science degree with 3+ years additional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5+ years of experience with high level programming in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python.
Minimum of 5+ years of validation experience with embedded firmware, realtime operating system RTOS, and HW/SW interactions.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing test plans.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience with hardware and software debugging using JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers etc.
Experience in C/C++ programming skills in an embedded environment
Experience developing unit tests for code quality validation
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
Knowledge of software validation concepts
Industry experience in SSDs storage protocols especially PCIe and/or NVMe
Exposure to commercial product development and validation environment
Experience in data manipulation and memory management algorithms in flash memories
Experience in validation of TCG storage security specifications
Experience with Fuzz and/or Penetration testing tools
Virtual platform development experience, planning writing and executing tests on an emulated product
