Job Description

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school. You will be creatively applying your technical know-how (engineering fundamentals, scientific knowledge, systems thinking, analytical thinking, prototyping, and testing knowledge) against design constraints and boundary conditions (industrial design, cost, performance criteria and other design constraints) to research, develop and productive mass producible solutions.

This requisition is for the IOTG Intern Program in 2021. Specific project details and manager assignment will be communicated prior to the start of the internship with a candidate offer. Offers must be accepted or declined by spring 2021. All internships will be virtual - no onsite or lab internships.

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS program in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Bio-medical, Power Electronics, Communication or Electronics, Embedded Systems or other related engineering program.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • A solid understanding of analog and high speed digital electronics

  • Working knowledge (debug and development experience) of standard PC system architecture, Operating Systems and Driver internals is required

  • Ability to read hardware schematics to determine basic component information, addressing, etc.

  • Working knowledge of basic RTL and HW design

  • Working knowledge of FPGA design and prototyping

  • Smart Manufacturing

  • Vision Systems

  • Robotics

  • LAM

  • Converged Platform

  • SDIS

  • Pillar Mountain

  • AI / ML / DL

  • Solid works or Creo experience, Excel, PowerPoint, Lab experience, data acquisition

  • Demonstrated Experience in system level debug, including BIOS, Drivers, OS, systems integration

  • Experience with hardware circuit board design and debug, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout design and Allegro* and Cadence* design tools will be added advantage

  • Knowledge with power consumption analysis, power modeling and power estimation.

  • Familiarity with schematics and board design flows

  • Troubleshooting skills, test writing, knowledge of platform hardware

  • Knowledge of key embedded workloads and power/performance characterization

  • Good understanding of IA architecture, Performance projections include MP/MT workloads, CPU micro architecture, Memory technologies

  • Varied based on EV, FV, or PSS/FPGA.

  • FPGA, RTL (Verilog System Verilog), Simulation, Synthesis, Place and Route

  • Experience in reading schematics and familiar with microcontrollers embedded programming

  • Understanding of configuration management and baselines

  • Experience in clearly explaining and diagraming complex technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Knowledge in video analysis & different CNN

  • Prior experience of industry standard tools like Design Architect, Platform Architect

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00 (Hourly Role)
