Our Production Enablement Solutions Group (PESG) is looking for a Design Automation engineer.
Responsibilities of the role include, although not limited to:
Develop, deploy and support design construction (place and route) flows and automation to System on Chip (SoC) projects
Tech layer development for different process nodes by using design automation tools from multiple vendors (synopsys or candence)
Develop and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems
Point-of-contact liaison to the project representing the wider PESG organization
Engage with project teams to develop, validate, and deliver construction flow release to projects and drive the resolutions to any related issues identified by the project teams
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of experience in the following:
Develop and test Engineering Design Automation flows
Create flows/scripts (TCL) to analyze and test design methodologies
Support design Synthesis and APR flows for digital design
Design, deploy and test tools efficiency to utilize in achieving design goals and collaborate with design teams on methodology development
Usage of CAD tools , such as Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler and Cadence Innovus/Genus
Appling design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality
Evaluating vendor practical skills to provide required products or services
