Software Engineer Graduate Intern

Job Description

Intel's Manufacturing and Operations Automation group is championing the development of AI Analytics. We are hiring for the position of Software Engineer.

The Software Engineer intern will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • The development and sustainment of advanced analytical and machine learning applications.
  • Willing to work Independently as part of a broader organization and collaborate with a worldwide organization across INTEL's and TD / HVM / Product development facilities.
  • Engagement with internal customers will be essential to ensure that developments meet the business need of reducing quality issues; supporting revenues and profit margins.
  • Demonstrate high-level working experience in full-stack software development, big data analytics, and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • To be an effective listener and possess excellent presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to interpret , simplify information for others in a clear and concise manner.

* This is a 3-6 months internship.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.  Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be actively pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ months of experience in the following areas:
    • Programming (Python, Java, C#/ .NET or other OOP languages).
    • Develop front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.
    • Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end.
    • Develop and design RESTful services and APIs

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in distributed systems and big data analytics
  • Previous internship experience
  • Machine learning
