The successful candidate will join a vibrant, high performing team on the cutting edge of manufacturing innovation using Internet of Things and Augmented Reality technologies. We are an agile Scrum team of 6 who design and deploy solutions to support Intel’s manufacturing processes. We are part of Intel IT Infrastructure organisation. Our domain is Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality (AR) as new technologies for driving efficiencies in our manufacturing, facilities management and supply chain processes globally.
We are looking for a cloud solution engineer. The successful candidate will be architecting, designing, developing, deploying and supporting applications (PaaS) and infrastructure (IaaS) to the Microsoft cloud. He/she will be a customer-focused and enthusiastic IT professional with a genuine interest and passion about technology and creating solutions to solve business needs. You will be supporting a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards.
Responsibilities: (including but not limited to the below …)
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure services and solutions
Daily use of cloud and on-premise applications and systems.
Commit to development with Agile “Scrum” deployment cycles
Respond to support queries/tickets within agreed SLA’s
Daily use of the customer’s standard methodologies for change and release
Role is 8x5 with some flexibility which may be required for US time zone crossover.
Qualifications
ESSENTIALS SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
NFQ Level 8 qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline and have completed either a Post-Graduate Diploma or BSc or MSc.
3+ years of work experience in an industrial, or related, software role
Experience or certification of programming Azure Active Directory, App Service, Azure Storage
Software development language(s): Python or .NET C# or JavaScript
Scripting languages Python, PowerShell, Linux shell or equivalent
General networking knowledge
DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality and/or Internet of Things
Cloud certifications at the expert or professional level
Experience/certification of Intune, Azure DevOps, Virtual Machines
Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365
Linux operating system
Problem investigation and resolution
Participate and understand technical discussions related to product architecture and functionality
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A self-starter with ability to work equally autonomously & as part of a team
