Sr. Principal Engineer - Validation
Xeon Engineering Group leadership team is looking for a Sr. Principal Engineer in Validation with prior SoC or IP pre-silicon Validation experience to join our organization to drive the validation strategy across XEG. XEG manages the competitive design solutions for the entire Xeon Scalable Performance Data Center portfolio, partnering with DPG (Data Platforms Group) to drive data center roadmap strategies, which represent a material portion of Intel's revenue. This position is considered high impact given the focus on driving XEG's validation strategy for servers contributing to predictable and high quality product leadership. More specifically, this position will be responsible for driving overall product quality of Xeon server program(s) through cross-site validation strategy, test plans content development and content execution, improving coverage, and working with other managers and tech leads within XEG along with partner organizations. This candidate would be expected to effectively interface with and influence architects, micro-architects, pre-silicon simulation teams, emulation teams and post-si validation partner teams to define, develop, and execute cohesive validation plans to achieve high quality tape-ins and PRQs. Additionally across XEG:
� Defines new, innovative and transformational strategies to shift-left and find Hardware/Firmware bugs faster and prior to tape-in, minimizing any escapes into post-silicon.
� Proven track record of delivering exceptional results through hands-on technical involvement either through content development, debug or validation strategies.
� Exceptional technical leadership skills and technical expertise in solving complex problems through technical task forces within XEG including partner organizations.
� Drives the delivery of SoCs and products at a continuing faster pace aligned to corporate objectives of predictable and high quality product leadership.
� Proven track record of product development from concept all the way through to production.
� Develops validation test suites and drives continuous improvement into existing validation test suites and methodologies.
� Delivers multiple program, global-scale, high-impact validation strategies in an ever-evolving business environment.
� Develops, interprets, and presents technical information with clear messaging appropriate to the audience.
� Owns critical programs and technical assessments delivered to senior management.
� Strong contributions in design technical reviews and mentors other technical leads in the organization.
� Sr. Principal Engineers at Intel are active technical leaders inside and outside the company:
� Participates in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.
Inside this Business Group
� BS, MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering Science or related field with 15 - 20 years of technical experience in silicon design and/or validation/verification.
� Experience in Xeon CPU (SoC or IP) pre-silicon or post-silicon validation is preferred.
� Solid track record of collaboration, building and strengthening partnerships, and working effectively to influence leads and teams across organizations.
� Highly resilient and able to manage significant change and multiple, complex issues concurrently.
