You will have the opportunity to work with partners in Technology Development (TD), Design Enablement (DE), and a world class team of QnR engineers to understand, define, and execute the requirements of new trailblazing Test Chips.
The CAD Engineer for QnR Test Chips will be responsible for but not limited to:
Develop and execute CAD software and flows to automate and build the physical design (layout) of Quality and Reliability (QnR) test structures and circuits to enable Intel's leading-edge Si technologies that are capable of delivering products exceeding the QnR expectations of its customers at optimized cost.
Configure the CAD design environment, develop and maintain parametric cells (pcells), troubleshoot tools, flows, and methodologies, run CAD flows to build layouts that pass DRC/LVS checks, and perform full-chip tape-in operations.
Develop and apply computer aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software.
Define and select new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 6 months of experience in:
Data Structures, algorithms and software engineering practices
Programming/scripting in C/C++, SKILL, Python, TcL
Unix/Linux operating systems
Minimum of 3 months of experience in:
CMOS VLSI circuit design
Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools from Cadence (Virtuoso), Synopsys (IC Validator), Mentor (Calibre)
Demonstrated experience in developing CAD software/design automation tools/flows for VLSI design.
