Engineering Technician

Work as a contributing member of a small technician team to debug and repair testers, thermals, and motherboards to improve availability, operate handlers and testers with high utilization, and drive lab improvements with hardware, software, network, and indicators. In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

• Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment
• Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work
• May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assignments are semiroutine in nature
• Work performed within generally defined parameters
• Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems
• Normally receives general instructions on most work

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must possess an Associate's or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics or similar
• 2+ years of direct industry experience, such as Semi-conductor Maintenance or Automotive maintenance or Avionics Maintenance and/or equivalent military training
• 6+ months of experience in engineering Lab
• This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship
• Willing to lift up to 30 lbs. and walk long distances
• Familiar with MS Office (Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of motherboards and building computers a plus
• Experience using microscopes and small tools to inspect and repair hardware
• Willing to learn a variety of software to debug and operating tools
