The Fire Protection engineer's role is to provide NM Corporate Services leadership in support of life safety systems including but not limited to site fire pumps and distribution systems, various wet and dry fire suppression systems, smoke detection, leak detection, evacuation systems, various fire protection systems.
As a Fire Protection Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Contribute to a broad spectrum of fire protection engineering functions.
Develop technical responses to technical questions on codes and standards and related fire protection topics.
Ensure that internal Intel organizations implement Environmental and Fire Safety minimum performance requirements.
Assist Intel organizations in the development of an Injury and Incident Free culture.
Provide training and coaching on Fire Safety-related tools and programs as needed.
Have and maintain knowledge of all corporate, regional and site-specific requirements to ensure compliance with all regional laws and regulations.
Interface with Intel’s Insurance Carrier on risk management requirements.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering or risk management engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Site mastery-level technical expertise of FP and RE including: International Codes; NFPA; FM Data Sheets; Intel FP Specifications; ITM; Code-Compliance; Design Reviews (Projects); FPE concepts; and serve on Industry Committees.
Fire protection engineering concepts.
National Fire Protection Association NFPA codes and standards.
Developing and implementing Fire Hazard Analysis.
Performing analysis and calculations required to support fire protection system design solutions and in the use of fire modeling software to support engineering solutions.
Operating and troubleshooting PLC's or EST3 Fire alarm systems.
Reading electrical schematics, P and ID's.
Practical knowledge of:
PLC/HMI systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.
Edwards EST3 notifications systems.
Permalert leak detection systems.
Xtralis VESDA aspirating smoke detection.
NFPA codes and standards.
