Manufacturing Network Engineer

Job Description

This candidate will take on an Engineering role in our manufacturing technical leadership team, partnering closely with Oregon Logic Technology Development (LTD), to develop new network architecture standards to meet business needs. Provide design and operational support for Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and other related network services, including routing, switching and segmentation. Identify, implement, and monitor best practices for technology architecture, while providing expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives. Develop and monitor the organization's network infrastructure technology architecture and play a leading role in the vision and development of the company's future network technology.

As a Manufacturing Network Engineer your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for determination and deployment of robust, stable and manageable computing and network services.
  • Manage technical projects.
  • Determine site computing and network server strategy.
  • Research new technology/products/tools.
  • Monitor and perform capacity/feasibility studies and resolve network capacity issues.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy tools supporting network server services.
  • Perform impact analysis of new technologies on environment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex and advanced problems.
  • Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks.
  • Uses judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.


  • Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or any other related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in designing, installing, and configuring Cisco network equipment.
  • 4+ years of experience in troubleshooting complex network environments.
  • Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) architecture and products; and robust scripting skills (esp. Ansible) to help drive automation.
  • CCNP certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCIE certification
  • Experience in semi-conductor manufacturing IT infrastructure/Industrial Control Systems (aka Scada) environments.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
