Lab Hardware Support Engineer

Come Join Intel’s Ethernet Products Group (EPG) within the Intel's Data Platforms Group (DPG). DPG drives new product technologies, from high-end coprocessors for supercomputers to low energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The EPG Lab team is seeking for experienced HW/SW and Network Engineers to join a growing team working on System Engineering and Validation Lab support activities. This is an exciting post-Si environment aimed at HW Validation, including High Speed Ethernet products Link Management and Electrical Validation. This is a great opportunity for you to be fully engaged with cutting edge Ethernet technologies for Cloud and Enterprise Data Centers Intel solutions.

In this role, your daily agenda will be anything but ordinary. You will be:

• Analyzing and understanding early Ethernet controller hardware specifications.
• Bringing up Electrical Validation Lab ecosystem; thermal and mechanical solutions
• Working in close collaboration with the HW, FW and SW Engineers

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Physics, or related field

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical experience and/or Validation Lab experience with ETH products
• 3+ years of experience with programming language in C, C++ and/or Python
• 3+ years of experience in computer system and Ethernet IPs, (i.e. PCIe, device mapping, interrupts, device registers, and/or Ethernet protocols)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of network software stacks and/or kernel level development
• Knowledge of current operating systems including Linux and Windows and/or other open source OS’s and/or ESX
• Knowledge of software configuration management concepts tools source repositories build environments bug tracking and project tracking
