Intel's Platform Hardware Enabling Division (PHED) is looking for an engineer with the passion, technical experience and organizational communication skills to enable key technologies on Intel server hardware.
The System Ingredients Engineering and Debug (SIED) team in Shanghai supports DSG commercial projects with I/O and operating system planning, development execution, and debug. As a member of this team, you be fully engaged in the complete process of world-class IA server design. You will work on a diversity of leading-edge I/O technologies, such as networking (10Gb, 40Gb, etc.), storage (SAS, SATA, RAID, NVMe), video, InfiniBand, Omni-Path and PCIe, as well as miscellaneous OSes. You will be responsible for the smooth integration of all 3rd-party ingredients into Intel-branded server boards. Your job scope primarily involves intensive HW/SW enabling, troubleshooting and debugging, as well as close communication with internal teams (BIOS, FW, HW, validation, etc.) and external partners (vendors, customers, technology communities, etc.) to drive all related issues to closure. You will take have opportunities every day to freely and smartly apply all your knowledge and capabilities to investigate and resolve all issues, like performance bottlenecks, poor interrupt routing, non-optimized register settings, and so on, and you will be in a challenging but high-value/high-visible position to constructively shoot every function's problem so as to move the project steadily forward.
� Use your project management experience to represent SIED activities and deliverables to platform teams
� Work closely with your I/O and OS teammates to understand and communicate the status of SIED deliverables to the platform teams, and vice versa.
� Attend Product Development Team (PDT) meetings and work with fellow engineers to communicate deliverable status to the PDTs.
� Review defects and perform triage to ensure the correct engineers are working on issues
� Collaborate with other internal and external partners to root cause and resolve defects.

You should possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience with 3 years relevant industry experience in development or validation of Intel architecture-based platforms.
Additional qualifications include:
� Strong communication and organizational skills
� Fluent English written and oral communication skills
� Familiarity with I/O technologies such as Networking (Ethernet), Storage (SAS, SATA, FC), InfiniBand, etc., from both a hardware and OS/driver debug perspective
� Experienced in low-level (driver level, OS level, BIOS level, FW level) debugging
� Excellent team player, works well with others in geographically dispersed organizations, and multiplex time well between multiple diverse tasks and activities
� Self-motivated, able to work independently and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
