PDK Specifications Developer - Project Manager

Job Description

Design Enablement (DE) is one of the key pillars enabling Intel to deliver winning products. DE's mission is to enable all Intel product design teams to get to market faster with leadership products. The Process Design Kit Group (PDK) within DE delivers Intel process technology PDKs that are optimized to work with industry standard EDA tools.

In this position, you will be responsible for defining requirements specifications for the PDKs. The specifications need to capture the requirements for the PDK components and the interoperability between the components. Electronically consumable specifications are essential for best-in-class high-quality PDKs by enabling automation in component (code) development, test-plan and test-case generation, and automated regressions for a continuous integration / continuous delivery DevOps development style.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • You will work with senior experts in PDK development and PDK quality across DE to identify the key areas that lack proper specifications today (LVS, device libraries, extraction, etc.)
  • You drive convergence towards a small set of key specifications, and work with teams across DE and partner teams in Computational Infrastructure Team (CIT) for capturing the specification implementation in electronically consumable form (for instance xml, yaml, or data bases).
  • Generate implementations of reference specs in coordination with working groups; you use software automation to generate the specs in machine-readable form in a consistent manner
  • You work with DE team members (program managers, developers, quality assurance engineers) to establish a sustainable spec creation and maintenance process
