Government, Markets, and Trade (GMT) is a pivotal group within Intel's legal organization that leads Intel’s public policy strategy and engagement with governments around the world. GMT is responsible for engaging with government officials globally to reduce trade barriers, ensuring Intel's global supply chain is not interrupted, and provide a competitive advantage for Intel.
The US Government Relations team leads GMT’s government engagement with the US government in Washington, DC. We are looking for a creative and collaborative candidate to support our US Government Relations Team on a range of operational projects and policy issues in the US at the federal, state, and local levels. Working with the entire GMT team, the Intern – US Government Relations will help develop Intel’s public policy operations, research policy matters, and work collaboratively across the team to ensure alignment between Intel’s business priorities and relevant public policy goals.
The position will be virtual and will be a full-time, paid position running through the summer of 2021. This role is intentionally broad and will require a candidate who can work in a dynamic environment. During the Internship you will get real-world experience with ownership of projects from day one, as well as the opportunity to develop a network inside and outside of Intel.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/ classes/ research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in economics, political science, public policy, government studies, or closely related fields
Have familiarity with US Government structure and systems and an interest in government and political processes.
This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ related job experience. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00 (Hourly Role)
