Commodity Manager

Job Description

The Commodity Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:


  • Cost, Quality, Availability, IP Management, Value Creation, and Supplier Development / Management for Fab Equipment
  • Develops and manages internal and external relationships to provide sustainable cost, quality, availability, and technology solutions while adhering to procurement policies.
  • Partners with a diverse stakeholder base to lead and develop multiyear commodity strategies based on business/market intelligence, long-term analysis of the category/commodity, and the supply ecosystem.
  • Acquires and maintains industry, market, and technical knowledge of commodities.
  • Leads supplier sourcing, selection, and performance management.
  • Negotiates purchasing contracts, statements of works, and pricing for goods and/or services.
  • Drives cost-saving opportunities in partnership with suppliers and stakeholders to meet business objectives.

May develop new supply chain models for new or existing products or services.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:


Candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 options; plus, the areas of expertise required below:

1. Bachelor's in a STEM program with 6+ years of expertise in the below areas.

2.Master's degree in STEM program with 4+ years of expertise in the below areas.

3. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with 4+ years of expertise in the below areas.

Areas of expertise

  • Virtual teams across matrix organizations (engineering, supplier, procurement, finance groups).

  • Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics activities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain with 5+ years of supply chain/business/financial experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in negotiating complex contracts or strategic deals.
