Customer Engineer

Job Description
This is an exciting time to join the Intel Optane Group Client SSD team as a Customer Engineer to work with global customers on the most advanced solid-state drive (SSD) technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses industry-leading SSD technologies.

As a Customer Engineer, you will be part of a world-class technical team driving integration and adoption of leading-edge technologies by tech giants and notable upstarts alike. The role will include: Direct customer engagement, Triage, and Debug (HW / FW and SW).

�Responsible to provide engineering support to OEMs and ODMs on Revenue programs and during New product development.
�Will need to provide on-site support to customers for critical issues as needed.
�Great opportunity to partner with multiple stakeholders ranging from PDT leads, product technical leads, validation engineering, CCG, AEs and CQEs.
�Will be the primary interface between US product engineering teams and local 3rd party teams.
�Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
�Drive product issues to closure as primary point of contact for target customers.

Qualifications

Education:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

Minimum Requirements:
5 years of experience in a technical engineering position
Ability to set up RVPs/ customer systems, reproduce reported SSD related customer issues and provide debug engineering support.
Ability to collect and analyze PCIe traces
Ability to work collaboratively with 3rd party engineering team on debug of issues.
Self-driven and ability to multitask effectively
Passionate individual ready to make a difference in customer engineering support and be part of an inclusive organization

Preferred qualification:
Storage technology/architecture
Familiarity in working with testers, working with firmware programmers and external customers is a plus
Ability to do scripting in Python for automating tests
Platform integration experience
