Custom Reliability Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

The Design Enablement Custom Reliability Verification (RV) Quality Assurance (QA) team is looking for qualified Design Automation (DA) candidates to expand our RV QA coverage for Process Design Kits (PDKs). These design kits provide collateral and flow customizations to enable Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows for the implementation and verification of silicon design products.

The candidate will be responsible for testing the RV collateral across multiple processes, EDA tools and flows to ensure high-quality delivery of Custom RV kit content to customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and completing QA for Custom RV Design Kit collateral and flows.
  • Testcase development and support of Custom RV QA test scripts
  • Analyzing and reporting Design Kit Custom RV QA results
  • Working closely with collateral developers to root-cause and resolve issues


Minimum qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 4+ years of semiconductor industry experience OR Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience of Custom RV experience or equivalent.

  • Custom RV (PERC, ESD, and EM) validation methodologies
  • Programmable Electrical Rules Checking (PERC), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), and Electromigration (EM) tools including Synopsys IC Validator PERC and CSRA; Siemens (Mentor Graphics) PERC; and Cadence VoltusFi
  • Linux environment capabilities and scripting skills
  • Electronic circuits and circuit analysis techniques, experience with custom design, semiconductor reliability, and silicon process technology


  • Developing and completing QA for Custom RV Design Kit collateral and flows
  • Testcase development and support of Custom RV QA test scripts
