Fortran Compiler Engineer

Job Description

The Intel Fortran Team is looking for excellent dedicated team focused developers to enhance our existing industry leading compilers across a wide range of operating systems and to build a brand new set of innovative LLVM based Fortran compilers These compilers are helping Intel expand the capabilities of High Performance Computing around the globe


Your day to day responsibilities might include developing and maintaining both innovative and standards compliant features in the existing compiler frontend designing and building a new LLVM middle end working closely with backend engineers to improve compiler optimization and parallelization and working with customer support engineers to keep our customers happy

Fluency in CC our development languages experience with Windows Linux or Mac OS our most popular development platforms and familiarity with Fortran our compiler target and LLVM the backend for our new compiler  will absolutely catch our attention

A strong desire to work on a world class team to investigate and address new technical challenges and excellent communications skills both written and verbal will also move you towards the front of the line

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and team orientation

 


    Qualifications

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork classes, research, and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelors with 3+ years or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering or Mechanical engineering or Physics or a related discipline course work or experience working on compiler related or system level software a plus

     

    1+ years of experience with the following skills:

    • Fluency in CC
    • Experience with Windows Linux or Mac OS
    • compiler related especially gcc or LLVM or system level software

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Course work or experience working on compiler related especially gcc or LLVM or system level software
    • Experience interacting with open source communities
    • Experience doing application level performance analysis and tuning
    • C sharp/ Fortran/ Java knowledge
      Experience in IDE integration Microsoft Visual Studio Eclipse Apple XCode

    Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
    $111,000.00-$166,390.00
