FPGA Engineers within the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) research, design, develop, and optimize flows, models, tools, and runtimes that are closely coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards while leveraging strong knowledge of hardware logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout. We get to design, develop, and optimize hardware and software abstractions for acceleration with the FPGA.
In this role you will bring your computer architecture/logic design experience to develop and maintain simulation models with Quartus Software tool that programs the current, next generation of FPGA devices. Your scope of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, developing cycle accurate simulation, support for highspeed transceivers, and other peripheral components. You will also be providing Customer debug support.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of total experience (2+ years of experience with a Master’s Degree) of which experience must include:
2+ years of experience developing VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog (RTL) for silicon
2+ years of experience with industry standard simulators (e.g. VCS, MODELSIM, or NCSIM)
2+ years scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL and/or some C)
2+ years of experience with Version Control Systems (such as GIT, Perforce, etc.)
Experience with ASIC verification methodology such as OVM/UVM
Experience with FPGA architecture and tools
Experience with IO or transceiver subsystems
Experience with Ethernet, PCIE or memory protocols
Experience with sub system bring up
Experience with EDA Software Development
