We are looking for a person interested to build awareness of next generation cloudified edge/telco environments requirements, gaps and drive to help to address some of them. Ideal candidate will be keen to master K8s environment, it's network, willing to learn edge application deployments, happy to work with automation tools like ansible, not be afraid to be off end-to-end responsibilities of services from draft, studying relevant hardware specification, trough implementation, testing and deployments.
The candidate shall be part of Edge Computing / OpenNESS Development team for designing/implementing/deploying/maintaining Edge/OpenNESS solutions for portfolio of NPG/Network Platform Group. The edge solutions include On Prem, Network Edge and MEC solution for 5G/4G catering to different CSPs, but not limited to. OpenNESS is made open source, details are at https://OpenNESS.org. The team is a part of Intel's bigger DPG/Data Platform Group that provides Servers, Memory, Artificial Intelligence and IOT products/platforms/solutions.
The candidate shall take part in design, development, deployment and supporting functional tests/integration tests/system tests/performance tests/KPI tests. The person should strive for continuous improvements in the way we work to improve system efficiency, performance, robustness, sustainability and maintainability.
The day-to-day work involves analyzing newer requirements, design, development, testing, bug fixing, coordinating with stake holders across different geos and time zones for analysis/development/bug fixing and reporting status with Agile Development Methodology. Coming up with innovative ideas and solutions is an implicit requirement.
Important for us:
basic knowledge of Linux systems
programming skills in at least one of the languages: GO/C LANG
experience in Dockers/Kubernetes/AWS/OpenStack/similar technologies
awarness of containters concepts
experience in Ansible/Playbook/Helm
experience in analysis/debugging/fixing skills
experience with git on large projects
experience in Cloud Computing/Edge Computing
proficiency in software development for networking/middle ware/communication/application protocols
experience in Standards Analysis including 3GPP/GSMA/IETF/ETSI for 5G/4G/NSA
experience in working with open source software/contributions
preferable Masters in Computer Science/Communications with 2 to 5 years' experience or Bachelors in Computer Science/Communications with 3 to 7 years' experience
