Network Software Engineer

Job Description

Networking segment is very strategic to Intel Data Platform Division and our team plays a critical role in growing 5G revenue where we already have a 40% market share over multiple product generations. Our team partners very closely with customers in the entire product life cycle and our innovative, high performance products go from our lab to commercial deployments all over the world at a rapid clip.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performs network product design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications.
  • Assignments include development of new programs and subprograms, as well as, enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
  • Designing application, writing code, completing programming and developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results.
  • Developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documentation of work and results.
  • Develop software applications for external customers.


Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience designing/developing networking software components at driver, interface, protocol layer level for high performance devices such as routers, gateways, firewalls, or base stations.
  • 4+ years of experience with coding in C in an embedded environment.
  • 2+ years of experience using configuration management tools such as svn or git.
  • 2+ years of experience with design/development of communication protocols such as TCP, IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, Ethernet, Radio Access Network protocols such as PDCP, RLC, MAC.
  • 1+ years of experience using test generator/analyzers such as TRex, Adtech, Smartbits or IXIA, WireShark.
