Platform Signal Integrity Engineer

Job Description

Come join an industry leading signaling development team at Intel Corporation. The team is part of the Intel’s Data Processing Group (DPG). With this position, you will experience technology development from inception to production. You will work side by side with industry experts and leaders in high-speed signal integrity. You will also work to develop next generation technology. Work that we do today will be the backbone to the data centers of tomorrow.

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates complex analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog and mixed signal electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

  • Determines creative design approaches and parameters.

  • Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

  • Applies and uses independent evaluation to select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

  • Evaluates practical capability of vendor to support product development which also includes Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF Development Engineers with specialized skills and expertise in developing Monolithic Integrated Circuits for wireless and wireline communications systems and products using CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, and GaAs Process technologies.


You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ months of applicable experience in the following areas:

  • Transmission line theory and electromagnetic field concepts.

  • Signal integrity simulation tools such as Sigma and HSpice.

  • Design and analysis of high-speed digital interconnects, such as PCIE, DDR, etc.

  • Silicon device modeling methods such as IBIS, AMI, or Verilog-A.

  • 2D and 3D field solver tools such as XFX, iMap, HFSS, and Power SI.

  • PCB layout review and associated tools such as Candence Allegro or Mentor.

  • Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR’s, or VNA’s.

  • Scripting languages such as Matlab, Perl, or Python.
