Graphics Tools Development Engineer

In this position you will work to design, develop and support debug tools for Post Silicon Graphics validation teams. This will involve understanding the existing hardware architecture, comprehend the future changes and make it possible for the tools to scale as the design evolves. This also means working closely with your customers to understand usage points, their requirements and improve the usability and debug efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline with 3-15 years’ experience. Additional qualifications include:

• Strong programming ability in C, C++ and scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of computer architecture
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Source control understanding (GIT, SVN, Perforce etc)
• Any experience in the Graphics domain or in the development of debug tools is an added plus

Preferred skills and experiences that will make you stand out: -

• Demonstrated Experience on External Graphics SoCs(PCIE based)
• Good understanding of Display graphics driver / Media / 3D /Audio would be added advantage
• Post silicon Validation Experience on SRIOV, Virtualization/Hypervisor
• Experience and hands on skills with LTB, ITP, Logic Analyzers*, Oscilloscopes, Scan dumps, and in-circuit Emulators
• Expertise in validating complex IP's from different sources onto the same piece of silicon
• Experienced with IP/SoC firmware architecture
• Experience with IP/SoC Debug subsystem development
