SoC Low Power Design Architect

Job Description

SoC Low Power design architect responsible to:

  • Work with IPs’ (compute) architects to driver low power design, methodologies, techniques and features
  • Work with SoC architects to enable low power & most efficient BW to power SoC design, including arch features, RTL changes for low power design, topologies with floorplan owner, layout structure with layout owners and all other SoC design aspects
  • Drive SoC level power convergence by using existing modeling tools and techniques, and developing new state of the art tools, flows and methodologies

Drive SOC power optimization across Product life cycle (PF/TR/FE/BE/Si)

  • Arch power features exploration on path finding and product concept
  • Power estimations for TR items and driving Power optimization TRs
  • IP targets definitions methodologies and set targets to meet Product Power and performance targets
  • Drive IP work (Arch/uArch/Design) to meet IP targets
  • Design owner for Si debug and Pre2Post Si correlations
  • Strong relationship with Arch/RTL/FE-exec/BE-exec teams to drive collaboration and implementation for power convergence

Sub System (SS) Owners Technical leader

  • TL for SS owners – ramp up and guide SSOs on power convergence for all SSs
  • Lead SSO forum and track SOC power convergence status

Drive new capabilities development

  • FE (RTL based) accurate power estimation in mWs (RTLA)
  • SoC Thermal analysis – has possible next step


  • Self driven & Leadership skills
  • Familiar with Arch concepts and SOC definition
  • Good understanding of Validation and test concepts
  • Deep understanding of FE execution and test definition
  • Deep understanding SOC Power simulation and SOC Power management
  • Deep understanding in design/layout and BE execution
