System Validation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking self-motivated, skillful and talented System Validation Engineer to join our growing team of Security Researchers. In this position, you will be working as a member of the Security Assurance team in the Intel Validation Engineering group and responsible for ensuring products meet quality expectations and reduce the security risk for our customers.


In this role, you'll own system level validation activities. The job will demand interaction with Architecture, Design, and Silicon Validation teams to analyze requirements, customer use cases, develop test content, debug, and provide feedback for future system features. The focus of the validation in this role implies the ability to reproduce issues and identify new ones around security mitigation effectiveness, verification and validation.


Some of the activities you will be responsible for include, but are not limited to:


. Leading validation efforts to ensure quality at SoC/platform level.
. Planning, developing and executing validation tasks, such as defining test plans, review requirements coverage, drive test execution, drive debug, and taskforces of issues resolution.
. Developing test content to cover product requirements accordingly.
. Platform level issue reproducibility, debug and be able to provide guidance in resolution.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:
. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's (Master's or PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or related fields of study.
. Intermediate to advanced communications skills in English (verbal and written).
. 1+ years of experience with PC architecture.
. 1+ years of operating systems experience (Linux, Windows, etc.).
. 1+ years in System Validation experience.
. Software development skills with different programming languages include but not limited to: C/C++, Python, Linux Batch Script, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
. Expertise in one or more technical domains (such as storage, virtualization, pwr mgmt, security, etc.).
. Knowledge of computer architecture CPU, SoC, chipsets, BIOS, Firmware, Drivers, and others.
. Task automation development and execution.
. Solid Ubuntu/Open source OS and Linux Kernel knowledge.

. Knowledge of x86 assembly language programming is desirable.
