Emulation Validation Engineer

Job Description

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Create, define and develop system validation environment and test suites
  • Use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec
  • Development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures
  • Broad understanding of multiple system areas
  • Interfacing with Architecture, Design, and Pre-Silicon Validation teams in improving Post-Silicon and Emulation test content and providing feedback for future features


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.     


Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Masters degree or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field.

2+ years of experience in:

  • Developing and validating emulation testbenches or emulation transactors
  • Programming in C/C++/ Python/ Perl
  • x86 architecture and power management
  • Computer architecture and digital design

Preferred Qualifications

6+ months experience with:

  • FPGA testbench or transactor development
  • Data structures
  • Synopsys or Mentor Graphics platforms
  • Simics Virtual Platforms
