Memory Validation Engineer - Memory & IO Technologies Team

Job Description

The Memory & IO Technologies team (MIO) is looking for validation engineers to join our memory validation team for an exciting opportunity

We have an Intel wide charter in architecture development, lead spec definition, and enabling technical collateral spanning technologies from USB to PCIe to DDR.

When Intel launches a product, it has memory and the MIO Memory Validation team's charter is to make sure that the memory is thoroughly tested, meets Intel's product needs, and meets the customer's needs. We develop the spec, design and fabricate the test hardware, write the code, and validate the memory on Intel's products. We do this testing on a memory tester, at the signal integrity bench, and in the platform. If you have experience in memory validation and want to work with an exciting team on the cutting edge of memory technologies, we would like to hear from you!

Responsibilities would include:

  • Assemble and debug servers platforms, install OS, update BIOS
  • Execute DDR DIMM validation in Server platforms and update results to database
  • Create system validation test plans based on DDRx memory design specifics
  • File HSD sightings and work with other Intel validation teams to resolve before PRQ.
  • Evaluate and resolve platform memory failures using logic analyzer, oscilloscope, and other EV tools


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE + Minimum 3 years of experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in System Validation
  • 3+ years of experience in Platform debug
  • 3+ years of experience in Python, Memory stress tests, or related system stress test tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in C/C++ software experience  
  • 3+ years of experience collecting timing analysis of high-speed signals
  • 3+ years of experience in jitter characterization, signal inspection, and debug
  • 3+ years of experience in Validation of memory modules
  • 3+ years of experience in Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, Bit Error Rate Tester
