As an Engineering Technician your responsibilities include technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment. Conducting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work. Performing operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.
Stress Engineering and Operations (SEO) Technicians perform functions associated with various aspects of operations, some equipment maintenance, running the experiments that are designed by our Quality and Reliability Engineering (QRE) partners, and training. They are responsible for running experiments in a qualitative way with Safety, Quality and Output in mind at all times. Additionally, the Engineering Technician is responsible for improving processes, assisting Engineering in troubleshooting nonstandard events, and reviewing equipment health and stability. There is a high level of interaction between the technician and engineers on developing processes and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for new products in an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive environment.
