We have a Part-Time internship opportunity for a local student (minimum 15 hours per week but 20 hours is preferred). Desired for 3+ months with the opportunity to extend based on business need, candidates may be needed for occasional weekend or evening event support. Position is in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with no relocation. This is a paid internship with benefits included.

We're seeking an undergraduate intern to manage some of Intel New Mexico's community outreach programs. Responsibilities will include interaction with many internal groups through stakeholder management to support employee volunteerism. The selected candidate will help identify, plan and execute site-wide and business-unit specific projects, reporting to the New Mexico Community Engagement Manager within the Global Public Affairs and Sustainability group. The candidate will specifically assist with project management and administration, communications, and overall program support. Intel relies on its community engagement programs to enable its License to Operate within its site communities and the student will be part of a small team responsible for building the company's reputation within the local community.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, Communications, Business or a related field of study.
  • •This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

Preferred qualifications:

  • •Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility concepts
  • •Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • •Database entry experience
  • •Event planning experience
