OTF Process Engineer - Planar Slurry Delivery

Job Description

Process Engineers design and plan the layout for such processes as hardening, washing, laminating, etching, engraving, polishing, painting, plating, and other material processing operations. Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for cutting, shaping, and otherwise preparing basic material, exercising judgment in compromising between conflicting requirements, economic evaluation of methods, and operator effectiveness and comfort. Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity. Establishes and submits processing requirements to be met in designing and acquiring processing equipment. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors, MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
  • At the master’s and PhD level a minimum of 3 years semiconductor processing experience
  • At the bachelor level with at least 7 years of semiconductor processing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMP, planarization, slurry delivery equipment and/or chemical distribution systems and the analytical systems used to support that equipment.
  • A demonstrated ability to support manufacturing technicians and interact with on site vendor field service engineering
  • Must have technical expertise within Semiconductor Processing engineering and be able to provide technical direction on all quality issues.
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE) principles and statistical methods
  • Experience in data extraction & analysis tools (JMP, SPC, MatLab, Mathematica, etc.)
  • Experience in defect reduction and failure analysis techniques
  • Must be able to work modified shifts as needed to support Intel business needs
  • May be required to temporarily relocate to another Intel site for technology transfer training.
  • Prior or current OTF experience, and knowledge of OTF systems and processes will be considered a plus factor when evaluating candidates for this position.
